Description of the facility
The museum is easily accessible. The exhibition areas are located on the ground floor, in the basement, and on the first floor. The basement and the upper floor can be accessed by elevator. On the ground floor, there is a hall where the last two rows of seats are equipped with movable chairs. The building includes an adapted sanitary facility. Next to the reception desk, there is a tactile map of the local mountain range with descriptions in Braille. The exhibition can be experienced with an audio guide, and some exhibits are additionally equipped with sound information. The museum areas are well lit.

Mobility impaired:
- an accessible parking space is located near the entrance,
- the main entrance to the building is accessible,
- the entrance has automatic sliding doors,
- the building has an elevator of suitable dimensions,
- there is enough maneuvering space inside,
- the hall has movable seats in the last rows,
- the building includes adapted sanitary facilities,
- exhibits in the exhibition areas are placed at an appropriate height.
Blind and visually impaired:
- the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable,
- the building is marked with an appropriate information board,
- glass doors are marked with contrast,
- the reception desk is located close to the entrance,
- there are no sudden transitions from bright to dark areas,
- signs and labels in the building are contrasting and legible,
- the exhibition content is also provided in audio format,
- some stair edges are marked with contrast,
- exhibits allow tactile exploration of the displayed material (tactile map, selected exhibits).
Deaf and hard of hearing:
- the reception desk is well lit, allowing lip reading and reading of facial expressions,
- the rooms are properly sound-insulated (hall).
Deficiencies:
Mobility impaired:
- no major deficiencies.
Blind and visually impaired:
- some exhibition texts and labels are not placed at suitable heights,
- the elevator buttons are not tactile,
- the elevator lacks an audio announcement,
- stair edges in the hall are not marked with contrast.
Deaf and hard of hearing:
- the hall and reception desk are not equipped with a hearing loop.
