Description of the facility

The theatre is partially accessible. The entrance to the reception area with the ticket office is in the passage through the building on Gregorčičeva 3. The hall can accommodate wheelchair users alongside the static grandstand. The building does not have an accessible toilet room.
Renovation and reallocation of the areas were being planned during the inventory taking. 

Adaptations:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The main entrance to the building is accessible (there is a slight step at the entrance),
  • The height of the reception desk is adapted to wheelchair users,
  • There is sufficient room to manoeuvre indoors.

People with visual impairments:

  • The entrance to the building is easily recognizable, but there is no signage at the entrance,
  • The reception desk is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance,
  • The edges of stairs on the grandstand have contrasting visual markings.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The reception desk is adequately lit and enables lip-reading and interpreting facial expressions,
  • The spaces have adequate sound insulation.

Deficiencies:

People with mobility impairments:

  • There is no accessible parking nearby (accessible parking is provided as part of the city’s parking scheme),
  • Seating on the grandstand cannot be provided to wheelchair users, but there is sufficient room alongside it for adequate accommodation,
  • The building does not have accessible sanitary facilities.

People with visual impairments:

  • There are no major deficiencies.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The reception desk and the hall are not equipped with an induction loop,
  • Subtitles are not provided at events.
