UIRS accessibility assessment
Description of the facility
The library is easily accessible. Access to the library from the car park is not adequately marked. There is an obstacle at the edge of the accessible parking spot caused by inadequate paving impeding wheelchair users.
The library spaces are located on the 1st and 2nd floor and are accessible via lift. In the corridor, a heavy door appears at the access to the lift and stairs. The entrance to the library spaces has a glass sliding door. There is sufficient room to manoeuvre indoors. The library spaces are connected via interior stairs. The stairs are not adequately marked and access passing under them constitutes a height obstacle to the blind and visually impaired. The accessible sanitary facilities for wheelchair users are located on the first floor of the library.
