Description of the facility

The gallery is well adapted. The main entrance is only accessible via stairs, so a side entrance with a ramp is provided at the back of the building for wheelchair users. Most of the interior consists of gallery spaces, which are well lit and spacious. There are few textual labels, and the exhibits are mostly at appropriate heights.
The basement floor is accessible via stairs near the reception desk or by elevator. It contains adapted sanitary facilities and a café. Except for the restrooms, the building is well lit.

Adjustments:

Mobility impaired:

  • the side entrance with a ramp is adapted for wheelchair users,
  • there is enough maneuvering space inside,
  • the building has an elevator of suitable dimensions,
  • adapted sanitary facilities are available in the building,
  • exhibits in the exhibition spaces are at an appropriate height.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable,
  • the reception desk is located near the entrance.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • no adaptations.

Deficiencies:

Mobility impaired:

  • the ramp at the side entrance is too long and does not have an appropriate slope,
  • the reception desk is not height-adjusted for wheelchair users.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • there are sudden transitions from bright to dark areas inside the building (basement and restrooms),
  • buttons in the elevator are not tactile,
  • the edges of stairs are not marked with contrast.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the building is not equipped with a hearing loop.
