Description of the facility

The gallery is partially accessible. The main entrance has stairs, but there is a clearly marked side entrance for wheelchair users. A moving ramp can be used to move around the ground floor, while access to the upper floor is only via stairs. The building does not have a lift. The gallery does not feature a lot of text, so there is no need to convey information audibly. Most of the exhibited items are placed at suitable heights for viewing. The spaces are adequately lit. The building does not have sanitary facilities. 

Adaptations:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The side entrance is adapted for wheelchairs,
  • The exhibited items in the exhibition spaces are placed at a suitable height.

People with visual impairments:

  • The reception desk is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance,
  • The edges of stairs have contrasting visual markings.

People with hearing impairments:

  • There are no adaptations.

Deficiencies:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The ramp inside the building is temporary,
  • The height of the reception desk is not adapted to wheelchair users and is only accessible via stairs,
  • The changes of level in the interior of the building are not adequately addressed,
  • The building does not have a lift,
  • The building does not have accessible sanitary facilities,
  • None of the exhibited items enable tactile exploration of the exhibited material.

People with visual impairments:

  • The glazed glass doors do not have contrasting visual markings.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The building is not equipped with an induction loop.
