Description of the facility

The gallery is partially accessible. There are stairs at the main entrance, but for people with mobility impairments, a side entrance is arranged and clearly marked. On the ground floor, a movable ramp is used, while access to the upper part of the gallery is only via stairs. There is no elevator. There is not much written text in the gallery, so there is no need for audio information. Most of the exhibits are displayed at an appropriate height for viewing. The spaces are well lit. There are no restrooms in the building.

Adjustments:

Mobility impaired:

  • the side entrance is adapted for wheelchair users,
  • the exhibits in the exhibition spaces are at an appropriate height.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the reception desk is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance,
  • the edges of the stairs are marked with contrast.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • no adaptations.

Deficiencies:

Mobility impaired:

  • the ramp inside the building is temporary,
  • the reception desk is not height-adjusted for wheelchair users and is only accessible via stairs,
  • height differences inside are not properly bridged,
  • there is no elevator in the building,
  • there are no adapted restrooms in the building,
  • selected exhibits do not allow tactile exploration of the displayed material.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • glass doors are not marked with contrast.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • there is no hearing loop in the building.
