Description of the facility

The cinema is poorly accessible. It features a larger and smaller hall and a summer theatre in the courtyard. There are ramps leading to the building and the courtyard, but they are too steep, do not have suitable handrails and do not enable independent use. There is an adapted side entrance directly next to the main entrance for wheelchair users. The seats in the larger hall are immovable. There are no accessible spots for wheelchair users. The smaller hall is only accessible via the stairs. There are no accessible sanitary facilities in the theatre. The halls are not equipped with an induction loop. 

Adaptations:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The side entrance is adapted for wheelchairs,
  • There is sufficient room to manoeuvre indoors.

People with visual impairments:

  • The main entrance to the building is easily recognizable,
  • The signboard at the main entrance is suitable,
  • The reception desk is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance.

Deficiencies:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The gradient of the ramp outside is inadequate and not properly secured,
  • The height of the reception desk is not adapted to wheelchair users,
  • Access to the small hall is not possible for wheelchair users,
  • The building does not have a lift,
  • The building does not have accessible sanitary facilities.

People with visual impairments:

  • The window of the reception desk does not have contrasting visual markings,
  • There are abrupt transitions from light to dark spaces in the building,
  • The signage and lettering in the building do not have contrasting visual markings and are not readable,
  • The edges of stairs do not have contrasting visual markings.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The halls and the reception desk are not equipped with an induction loop,
  • The reception desk glazing is reflective and glaring.
