Description of the facility

The library is inaccessible for wheelchair users and partially accessible for other persons with disabilities.
The nearest adapted parking space is located in front of the municipality. On the accessible path, there are depressions that hinder movement.
The library is located on the upper floor of the building and is accessible only via stairs. There is no elevator in the building.

There is no intercom at the entrance to call staff, but an external book return machine and a phone number are provided.

At the top of the stairs, sanitary facilities are located in the left corridor, while the library entrance is in the right corridor. The library spaces are small and include a reception desk, library rooms, and an event room. Thresholds and steps are present inside the premises.

Adaptations:

Mobility impaired:

  • An external book return machine is located in front of the entrance,
  • No other adaptations for mobility impaired persons.

Blind and/or visually impaired:

  • The edges of the entrance stairs are contrast-marked.

Deaf and/or hard of hearing:

  • No adaptations for deaf or hard of hearing persons.

Deficiencies:

Mobility impaired:

  • The building entrance is not accessible (due to stairs),
  • There is no intercom at the entrance (a phone number is provided),
  • Height differences inside are not properly bridged (no elevator),
  • There is insufficient maneuvering space inside,
  • There is no elevator in the building,
  • There are no adapted sanitary facilities.

Blind and/or visually impaired:

  • The reception desk is not located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance,
  • The edges of stairs inside the library are not contrast-marked,
  • The edges of thresholds and height differences are not contrast-marked.

Deaf and/or hard of hearing:

  • The event room and reception desk are not equipped with a hearing loop (not a mandatory requirement).
