Description of the facility

The culture centre is partially accessible. The building has two floors. The ground floor features a reception, wardrobe room and accessible sanitary facilities; the entrances to the small and large hall are on the first floor. There is a lift for moving between floors.
The seating in the halls is moveable. The car park is located behind the building and the access path is dangerous due to the changes of level not having contrasting visual markings and an unmarked change of level at the entrance.

Adaptations:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The main entrance to the building is accessible,
  • Access to the building runs via the side entrance,
  • There is sufficient room to manoeuvre indoors,
  • There is a suitably sized lift in the building,
  • The building has accessible sanitary facilities,
  • The hall can accommodate wheelchair users as the seating is moveable.

People with visual impairments:

  • There are no abrupt transitions from light to dark spaces in the building,
  • The lift buttons have raised tactile letters,
  • The edges of stairs have contrasting visual markings.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The spaces have adequate sound insulation.

Deficiencies:

People with mobility impairments:

  • The accessible parking spot is not suitably designated,
  • The gradient of the ramps is not suitable.

People with visual impairments:

  • The glazed glass doors do not have contrasting visual markings,
  • The path to the remote reception desk is not marked with tactile floor markings,
  • The window of the reception desk does not have contrasting visual markings,
  • There is a dangerous height obstacle on the path to the side entrance that is not suitably marked.

People with hearing impairments:

  • The halls and the reception desk are not equipped with an induction loop,
  • The halls are not equipped for subtitles,
  • The reception desk glazing is reflective and glaring.
