UIRS accessibility assessment
Description of the facility
The hostel is partially accessible. The building has a main and a side entrance. Access to the building from the main entrance is impeded for wheelchair users due to the sloped terrain. The side entrance has an unprotected ramp with no rails and edges. The building has three floors and no lift. The hallways have obstacles (pillars, railings, door buffers).
There is one accessible ensuite room for wheelchair users on the ground floor and a restaurant with sufficient room to manoeuvre. The exit to the terrace (part of the restaurant) has a high step. The terrace features obstacles (steps, a stair, damaged pavers, handle on the metal surface of the shaft). The floor on the ground floor and first floor is not level (protrusions/indentations) and has several different paving styles. The sanitary facilities for wheelchair users are on the ground floor.
