Description of the facility

The cultural center is very poorly accessible. Access to the main entrance is via stairs, so a side entrance at the back of the building has been arranged for wheelchair users. The side entrance is accessible via an outdoor ramp and only allows entry into the hall. There is no adapted space for wheelchair users in the hall; currently, visitors are placed in the area in front of the first row of seats. Other areas (bar, ticket office, restrooms) are accessible only via stairs, which are not contrast-marked and in some parts insufficiently secured.

Adaptations:

Mobility impaired:

  • near the side entrance at the back of the building, there is an adapted parking space,
  • access to the building is arranged via the side entrance,
  • the ramp at the side entrance is in place (access to the ramp and its width are dimensionally inadequate),

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the reception desk is properly lit and allows lip reading and reading facial expressions,
  • the hall is adequately soundproofed.

Deficiencies:

Mobility impaired:

  • the accessible side entrance is not marked,
  • the main entrance has stairs, so a side entrance with a ramp has been arranged at the back,
  • stairs inside are not adequately bridged,
  • there is no elevator in the building,
  • there are no arranged spaces for wheelchair users in the hall; users are placed in front of the first row of seats,
  • there are no adapted restrooms in the building, and access to the basement is not available for mobility-impaired people.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • there are sudden transitions from bright to dark spaces inside the building,
  • glass doors are not contrast-marked,
  • edges of stairs and height differences are not contrast-marked,
  • stairs to the basement are not secured with a railing,
  • daytime lighting causes glare.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the hall and ticket office are not equipped with a hearing loop.
