Description of the facility

Description of the Object

The castle is inaccessible for wheelchair users and partially accessible for other disabled individuals. The accessible path from the parking lot to the castle does not allow for independent use by wheelchair users, as it is 130 meters long, unpaved (gravel), and inclined. The reception desk, shop, and chapel at the main entrance are accessible via two steps. The exhibition spaces on the ground floor are accessible directly from the castle courtyard. There are unbridged high thresholds or steps in front of the entrances. One of the rooms is designated for a small hall with movable chairs. The first floor of the castle, with the wedding hall and other exhibition spaces, is only accessible by stairs. The halls are not equipped with a hearing loop. Access to the castle tavern is also only via stairs, while the castle terrace is conditionally accessible from the outside (due to inadequate paving). The paving of the castle courtyard is too rough and prevents independent wheelchair use. There are no adapted restrooms in the castle; restrooms are accessible from the castle courtyard via stairs.

Shortcomings

Physically impaired:

  • there is no elevator in the object,
  • the reception desk height is not adapted for wheelchair users,
  • there are no adapted restroom facilities in the object,
  • exhibits in the exhibition spaces are not at suitable heights.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the object has sudden transitions from light to dark rooms,
  • none of the exhibits allow for tactile exploration of the exhibition material.

Deaf and hard of hearing:
