Description of the facility

The bookstore is inaccessible for wheelchair users and partially accessible for other people with disabilities. It is located on the ground floor of a larger building in the pedestrian zone of the city center. The entrance door is too narrow and has a high threshold for wheelchair users.

Adaptations

Mobility impaired:

  • there is enough maneuvering space in the bookstore,
  • the equipment is movable,
  • the cashier counter has an additionally adapted lower shelf.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the temporary glazing of the reception counter is not reflective or shiny.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the cashier counter is properly lit and allows lip reading and reading facial expressions.

Deficiencies

Mobility impaired:

  • there is no adapted parking space near the entrance (the nearest is in the city parking area),
  • the entrance door is not of appropriate dimensions (73 cm),
  • the entrance door has a high threshold (2.5 cm),
  • there are no adapted sanitary facilities in the building (not a required condition).

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the temporary glazing of the reception counter is reflective or shiny,
  • the bookstore space is not evenly lit.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the cashier counter is not equipped with a hearing loop (not a required condition).
