Description of the facility

The Delavski Dom building is poorly accessible.

A bus stop is located nearby (on the main road), but the path from the stop to the building entrance is on steep terrain. Accessible parking spaces are available close to the entrance.

The program is located in a ground-floor building with mezzanines. Upon entering, straight ahead is the ticket office, and to the left are stairs leading up to the balcony and down to the restrooms and hall. Height differences are not bridged with an elevator or lift.

The main entrance is poorly visible. There is a step at the entrance, so the entrance and ground floor (ticket office) are inaccessible for wheelchair users.
For wheelchair users, access to the hall is provided through a side entrance at the rear of the building, reached via a very steep path. The side entrance and the path to it are not marked, so wheelchair visitors are not informed about entry options upon arrival. The side entrance has a high threshold, making independent entry difficult for users of manual or less powerful wheelchairs.

The entrance lobby is poorly lit, making the ticket office harder to identify. There is no hearing loop.
Accessible restrooms for both sexes are located inside the women’s restrooms, but the maneuvering space is insufficient.

The hall does not have designated spaces for wheelchair users. Temporary access can be arranged on ramps at the sides of the hall, but this obstructs access to fixed seating. There are no specific adjustments for deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, or visually impaired visitors.

Adjustments

Mobility-impaired persons:

  • The accessible parking space is properly marked,
  • The side entrance is accessible for users of more powerful wheelchairs.

Blind and visually impaired persons:

  • Edges of the main staircase are marked with contrast,
  • Seat numbers and types are contrasting and readable.

Deaf and hard of hearing persons:

  • There are no specific adjustments for deaf and hard-of-hearing persons.

Deficiencies

Mobility-impaired persons:

  • The accessible parking space is not of sufficient dimensions, though it is marked,
  • The main entrance is inaccessible due to steps and heavy doors,
  • The accessible side entrance is not marked,
  • The path to the side entrance is too steep,
  • The side entrance has a high threshold,
  • There is no elevator or lift,
  • Direct access to the ticket office is blocked by a railing,
  • The ticket counter is not height-adjusted,
  • The restroom is not of sufficient size,
  • The hall does not have suitable spaces for wheelchair users.

Blind and visually impaired persons:

  • The entrance is poorly recognizable,
  • Lighting in the building is poor,
  • Signage in the building is inadequate.

Deaf and hard of hearing persons:

  • The ticket office is not equipped with a hearing loop,
  • The hall is not equipped with an assistive listening system,
  • There are no captioning or visual aids in the hall.
