Description of the facility

The facility is poorly accessible and inaccessible for wheelchair users.
A bus stop is located directly next to the establishment, and access to the entrance is possible via stairs or along the roadway. The establishment does not have its own adapted parking space. It is located on the ground floor of the building. The entrance is easily recognizable, but there are stairs before and after the doorway.
The restrooms are not adapted for wheelchair users. In front of the women’s restroom on the ground floor, there is a poorly visible step that poses a tripping hazard. Part of the men’s restroom is located on the first floor, accessible via a winding and poorly secured staircase.
From the interior hallway, access to the covered terrace is provided via stairs on both sides of the door. From the courtyard in front of the building, a short, steep ramp leads to the terrace. Unobstructed access for wheelchair users is only available to two tables directly in front of the entrance to the establishment.

Adaptations

For persons with mobility impairments:

  • there is sufficient maneuvering space inside and on the terrace for wheelchair users.

For the blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable,
  • the building is marked with an appropriate information sign,
  • there are no sudden transitions from bright to dark areas inside the building,
  • signs and labels inside the building are placed at appropriate heights,
  • signs and labels are contrasting and legible,
  • some edges of height differences are marked in contrast.

For the deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the establishment is well-lit, allowing for lip reading and reading facial expressions.

Deficiencies

For persons with mobility impairments:

  • there is no adapted parking space,
  • the height difference at the entrance is not properly bridged (stairs),
  • height differences inside the building are not properly bridged,
  • there are no adapted restrooms in the building,
  • the ramp on the terrace is too steep and does not meet accessibility standards.

For the blind and visually impaired:

  • the edges of stairs are not marked in contrast,
  • obstacles and hazardous objects (such as steps and height differences) are not properly marked.

For the deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the establishment is not equipped with a hearing loop for hard-of-hearing persons.
