Description of the facility

The Medical Center Rogaška is partially accessible. Step-free access is provided through the side entrance, located at the back of the building. In front of it, there is a designated area for short-term stopping, while accessible parking spaces are available in a nearby parking garage, approximately 100 meters away (see Janina Parking Garage).
The main entrance to the center, from the park side, is accessible via stairs. Access to the center is also possible through the adjacent hotel building, which has an interior ramp. However, the ramp is too steep, lacks proper safety features, and is unsafe and unsuitable for independent use.
The reception desk on the ground floor is not located near the main entrance and is more difficult to find.
Adapted restrooms are available on the ground floor. Access to medical offices on the upper floors is provided by an elevator.
The entrance to the pavilion (mineral water hall) is accessible for wheelchair users through a connecting corridor from the main lobby of the center.

Adaptations:

Mobility impaired:

  • Access through the side entrance is provided via a ramp,
  • The reception desk is height-adjusted,
  • There is sufficient maneuvering space inside the building,
  • The building is equipped with an appropriately sized elevator,
  • Adapted sanitary facilities are available in the building.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • The building entrance is clearly recognizable,
  • Signs and markings inside the building are at appropriate heights, with good contrast and readability,
  • Elevator buttons are tactile and labeled in Braille.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • The reception desk is well-lit and allows lip reading and facial expression reading.

Deficiencies:

Mobility impaired:

  • The parking area in front of the side entrance is not properly arranged and serves only as a short-term stopping area,
  • The ramp at the entrance through the nearby hotel is too steep, lacks proper safety features, and is unsafe.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • Glass doors are not marked with contrast,
  • The reception desk is not located near the entrance,
  • The path to the distant reception desk is not marked,
  • Stair edges are not marked with contrast.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • The reception desk and medical offices are not equipped with hearing loops.
