Description of the facility

The Lidl premises on Zaloška Street are partially accessible. The bus stop is nearby. From the bus stop to the store, there is an easy and sufficiently wide path. The pedestrian crossing over the main road has a recessed curb, but the traffic light does not have an auditory signal.
Adapted parking spaces are available in the parking lot near the entrance. Within the parking lot, there is a charging station for electric vehicles installed on the sidewalk without a recessed curb, making it inaccessible to wheelchair users.

The store is entirely on the ground floor. The entrance is clearly visible; the entrance doors are automatic and glass, and clearly detectable. In the vestibule, there is a bottle return machine that is inaccessible for mobility-impaired and blind or visually impaired persons. From the vestibule to the store entrance, there is a tactually detectable mat.

Inside, there is sufficient maneuvering space between shelves, although aisles are too narrow in some areas. Some shelves are too high. Refrigerators are harder to access due to difficult-to-open doors. The store is equipped with shopping carts adapted for wheelchair users.

Signs and labels in the store are of appropriate contrast and size. Product prices are legible; product descriptions are too small. Fruit and other products are weighed at the checkout. Surfaces for placing items at the checkout are too high. The space for front access and paying at the checkout is too narrow for wheelchair users.

Lighting in the store is adequate.
There are no hearing loops in the store.
There are no adapted sanitary facilities.

Mobility impaired:

  • There are no sudden transitions from light to dark areas inside the store,
  • Most signs and labels inside the store are contrastive and legible.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • No major adaptations.

Mobility impaired:

  • The adapted parking space does not have appropriate dimensions,
  • The electric vehicle charging station is inaccessible,
  • Some shelves are too high or inaccessible due to their shape,
  • Opening vertical refrigerators, freezers, and freezer chests is difficult due to heavy doors,
  • The changing room is not accessible,
  • The checkout surface is too high,
  • The POS terminal is out of reach,
  • The main emergency exit inside the store is blocked by products,
  • There are no adapted sanitary facilities.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • The signboard at the main entrance is inadequate,
  • Glass doors are not marked with contrast strips,
  • Signs and labels inside the store are not at suitable heights,
  • Signs and labels inside the store are not contrastive or legible,
  • Handles of vertical refrigerators and freezers are not contrast-marked everywhere,
  • Displays are not adapted,
  • The main emergency exit inside the store is blocked by products.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • The store is not equipped with a hearing loop.
