Description of the facility

The Lidl premises on Betettova Street are partially accessible. There is a bus stop nearby. The accessible path is obstructed by a too-narrow recessed sidewalk at the pedestrian crossing, which prevents passage for wheelchair users. Adapted parking spaces are located in the parking lot near the entrance. Access to some adapted parking spaces is daily obstructed by improperly parked cars.
The entrance doors are automatic and glass, and clearly detectable as they are covered with promotional material and contrast markings.
The store is entirely located on the ground floor. Lighting is adequate. Inside, there is sufficient maneuvering space between shelves and at the checkouts. Some shelves are too high. Due to difficult opening and the depth of freezers, the refrigerated units are harder to access. The store is equipped with shopping carts adapted for wheelchair users. Signs and labels in the store are appropriately contrasted and large. Product prices are readable, their descriptions are too small. Fruit and other products are weighed at the checkouts. Checkout counters are at an appropriate height.
The building does not have hearing loops. There are no adapted sanitary facilities.

Adaptations

Mobility impaired:

  • there is an adapted parking space near the entrance,
  • the main entrance to the building is accessible,
  • the main entrance has automatic sliding doors,
  • inside, there is sufficient maneuvering space for wheelchair users,
  • shopping carts for wheelchair users are available in the building,
  • the layout of sales shelves allows access with a wheelchair.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable,
  • the glass doors are contrast-marked,
  • there are no sudden transitions from bright to dark areas inside the building,
  • most signs and labels in the building are contrasted and legible.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • no adaptations.

Deficiencies

Mobility impaired:

  • the adapted parking space is not of appropriate dimensions but is marked,
  • some shelves are too high or inaccessible due to their shape,
  • opening vertical refrigerators, freezers, and cold storage units is difficult due to heavy doors,
  • there are no adapted sanitary facilities in the building,

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the information board at the main entrance is inadequate,
  • not all signs and labels in the building are at appropriate heights,
  • not all signs and labels in the building are contrasted and legible,
  • handles on closed vertical refrigerators and freezers are not contrast-marked everywhere,
  • displays are not adapted.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the building is not equipped with a hearing loop.
