Description of the facility

The Lidl premises on Celovška Street are partially accessible. There is a bus stop nearby. The access route to the stop is via sidewalks that are recessed at pedestrian crossings. The route to the stops is somewhat challenging due to narrower sidewalks, other paved surfaces, and the overall traffic layout. Adapted parking spaces are located in the outdoor parking lot near the entrance and in the underground garage, accessible by elevator and a moving walkway. The moving walkway is not equipped with contrast markings or audible signals.
The entrance doors are automatic and glass, but less noticeable due to insufficient contrast markings.
The store is located entirely on the ground floor. Lighting is adequate. Inside, there is sufficient maneuvering space between shelves and at the special checkout. Some shelves are too high. Most signs and labels in the store are appropriately contrasted and of suitable size. Product prices are readable and enlarged on higher shelves. Product descriptions are too small. Fruit and other products are weighed at the checkout. Checkout counters are at an appropriate height.
A payment terminal with an adjustable position is also available.
The building is not equipped with hearing loops. There are no adapted sanitary facilities in the building.

Adaptations

Mobility impaired:

  • there is an adapted parking space near the entrance,
  • the main entrance to the building is accessible,
  • the main entrance has automatic sliding doors,
  • inside, there is sufficient maneuvering space for wheelchair users,
  • the checkout has a payment terminal with adjustable position,
  • the layout of sales shelves allows access with a wheelchair.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is clearly recognizable,
  • there are no sudden transitions from bright to dark areas inside the building,
  • prices on higher shelves are displayed in larger text.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • no adaptations.

Deficiencies

Mobility impaired:

  • the adapted parking space is not of appropriate dimensions but is marked,
  • some shelves are too high or inaccessible due to their shape,
  • paper bread bags on lower shelves are harder to reach,
  • there are no adapted sanitary facilities in the building.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • glass doors are not contrast-marked,
  • not all signs and labels in the building are at appropriate heights,
  • not all signs and labels in the building are contrasted and legible,
  • the moving walkway leading to the garage lacks appropriate contrast markings or audible signals.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the building is not equipped with a hearing loop.
