Description of the facility

The facility is partially accessible. An access path or ramp is provided at the entrance. Inside, hallways and passages are mostly suitable, but there are narrow spaces and interior obstacles. Interior surfaces are not always marked with contrasts or equipped with tactile indicators. Restroom facilities are likely not adapted for wheelchair users.

Adaptations:

People with physical disabilities:

  • An access path/ramp to the entrance is provided,
  • Hallways and main passages mostly allow wheelchair movement,
  • Surfaces are mostly non-slip and evenly arranged,
  • Smaller maneuvering spaces are provided in the public areas of the facility.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • Basic orientation is possible (the entrance is recognizable),
  • Entrance areas are illuminated,
  • Some passages have contrasting edges (if specified).

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • Basic visual signs are present at the entrance and passages (if specified),
  • Information and notices are partially displayed in visual form.

Shortcomings:

People with physical disabilities:

  • Some passages or doors are too narrow for a wheelchair,
  • Furniture or decorative elements inside may obstruct movement,
  • Restroom facilities are not adapted,
  • Accessible paths are not always marked with contrasts or tactile indicators,
  • Lack of adequate lighting and edge markings on surfaces,
  • Doors have thresholds higher than recommended,
  • The entrance ramp does not have double-sided handrails,
  • The position of equipment is not optimal (switches, handles are too high).

Blind and visually impaired:

  • Floor markings and tactile guides are missing,
  • Key points (doors, edges, thresholds) are not marked with contrasts,
  • Glass doors or glass surfaces are not clearly marked,
  • Overhead obstacles (e.g., hanging elements) are not marked.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • No system for light or visual alerts in case of changes or warnings,
  • Important information is not adequately conveyed with visual signals where needed.
