Description of the facility

The Dobrote Dolenjske PE Ljubljana building is partially accessible, but inaccessible for wheelchair users.

There is no bus stop or accessible parking near the building. The nearest bus stop and parking are located at Gornji trg. Vehicle access to the building is not possible, as it is in a pedestrian-only zone. A paved path leads to the building.

The branch office is located on the ground floor. The entrance is poorly visible and inaccessible for wheelchair users due to a raised threshold and a narrow doorway. There is no accessible side entrance. Aisles between the sales shelves and the main counter are too narrow for wheelchair users. The area in front of the main counter does not provide sufficient maneuvering space. The sales counter and central table are too high. The space is adequately lit, but signs and product prices are low-contrast and too small.

Adjustments

Mobility-impaired persons:

  • No significant adjustments.

Blind and visually impaired persons:

  • No sudden transitions between bright and dark areas,
  • Some signs and labels are at an appropriate height,
  • There are no obstacles or hazardous objects.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons:

  • The reception counter is properly lit and allows lip-reading and reading of facial expressions,
  • The reception counter is positioned so that there are no windows behind it.

Deficiencies

Mobility-impaired persons:

  • No accessible parking near the entrance,
  • The distant accessible parking space is marked but not of adequate dimensions,
  • The entrance is not wide enough for wheelchair access,
  • The reception counter is not height-adjusted for wheelchair users,
  • There is insufficient maneuvering space inside for wheelchair users.

Blind and visually impaired persons:

  • The entrance is not clearly identifiable,
  • The building does not have an appropriate information board,
  • Signage inside the building is not contrasting or readable.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons:

  • The reception counter is not equipped with a hearing loop for hard-of-hearing users.
