UIRS accessibility assessment
Description of the facility
The Champion Rudnik store is partially accessible.
It is located on the ground floor of a larger shopping center.
There is no bus stop near the building. Parking spaces for people with mobility impairments are located near the entrance to the shopping center, in the parking garage.
The entrance to the building is on the ground floor. The sliding glass entrance doors are wide but are not marked with contrasting stripes and do not provide enough contrast with the adjacent glass walls.
The floor of the entrance hall and the corridors leading to the store are shiny and reflective.
The entrance to the store is wide enough for wheelchair users. The glass display walls are difficult to perceive for blind and visually impaired persons. The entrance is also obstructed by anti-theft sensors. The sales counter is too high and not equipped with a hearing loop.
Inside the store, some of the aisles between shelves are too narrow for wheelchair maneuvering. Some of the shelves are placed either too low or too high. The labels on the shelves are large and contrasting enough, but some are not positioned at appropriate heights. The store does not have a sufficiently large and adapted fitting cabin for wheelchair users.
All customers can receive assistance from the store staff when shopping.
On the ground floor of the shopping center, there are also adapted toilets for people with mobility impairments. The toilet doors are hard to detect and heavy. The maneuvering space inside the toilet is too small, and access to all equipment is difficult. There is no toilet paper dispenser. The room also contains a foldable changing table, which, when lowered, blocks the side access to the toilet.
