Description of the Facility

The Audio BM premises are easily accessible. They are located on the ground floor of a commercial and business building.
The bus station is less than 300 meters away and easily reachable. The provider does not have its own parking spaces, so visitors must park at the BTC Market or Lidl parking lots, both located less than 100 meters from the entrance. There are enough adapted parking spaces, but their dimensions are not appropriate.
The entrance to the commercial building is level with the ground and sufficiently wide, though somewhat difficult to recognize.
The entrance to the Audio BM premises is clearly marked; the reception counter is high and not glazed. Hearing loops are in use on the premises.
There is limited space for maneuvering with a wheelchair, sufficient only in the waiting area. The staff assists persons with mobility impairments in navigating the space.
An adapted toilet for persons with reduced mobility is located on the first floor of the building.

Adaptations

For persons with mobility impairments:

  • an adapted parking space is located near the entrance,
  • the main entrance to the building is accessible,
  • the main entrance has automatic (sliding) doors,
  • height differences inside the building are properly bridged,
  • the building has a sufficiently large elevator suitable for wheelchair users,
  • adapted sanitary facilities are available in the building.

For the blind and visually impaired:

  • the building is marked with an appropriate information board,
  • there are no sudden transitions from bright to dark areas inside the building,
  • signs and labels within the building are placed at appropriate heights.

For the deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the reception desk is equipped with a hearing loop,
  • the reception desk is well-lit, allowing for lip reading and reading facial expressions,
  • the glazing of the reception desk is non-reflective and non-glossy.

Deficiencies

For persons with mobility impairments:

  • the adapted parking space is marked but not of appropriate dimensions,
  • the reception counter is not height-adjusted for wheelchair users,
  • there is insufficient maneuvering space inside the premises for wheelchair users,
  • the elevator buttons are not suitable for blind and visually impaired persons.

For the blind and visually impaired:

  • the entrance to the building is not clearly recognizable,
  • the information board at the main entrance is not adequate,
  • the building itself does not have a reception desk at the entrance,
  • the route to the distant Audio BM reception is not marked,
  • the reception window is not marked in a contrasting way,
  • signs and labels in the building are not placed at appropriate heights,
  • signs and labels in the building are not contrasting and legible,
  • necessary information is not provided in an audio format,
  • elevator buttons are not tactile,
  • the edges of staircases are not marked in contrast,
  • the edges of height differences are not marked in contrast,
  • obstacles and hazardous objects are not properly marked (e.g., escalators in the middle of the lobby).

For the deaf and hard of hearing:

  • the reception desk is positioned in front of windows,
  • necessary information is not provided in a visual format for deaf persons.
