Description of the facility
The Alpine Resort Špik is partially accessible.
There are no bus stops in the immediate vicinity of the resort. Near the resort entrance, there are four parking spaces for people with mobility impairments, but they are too small.
The resort has two entrances. The first leads to the reception area of Hotel Špik. The paved path to the second entrance, which leads to Wellness Špik, is not well marked.
The resort is equipped with two elevators: one provides access to rooms in the 3-star hotel, the bar, and the restaurant; the other serves the Wellness Špik area and the rooms in the 4-star hotel.
The rooms are generally well-lit, although the lighting is uneven and sometimes glaring (especially in the bar, restaurant, and wellness areas).
In the 4-star hotel, there is one accessible and adapted room for guests with disabilities. The room is equipped with a double bed and a bathroom that does not provide sufficient maneuvering space. It features a shower with a folding seat and no thresholds or partitions. Access to the balcony is hindered by a high threshold.
From the Wellness reception area, access to the pools and saunas is through an entrance control gate, changing rooms, and a foot shower. For wheelchair users, there is a side entrance without the foot shower. The changing cabins are not adapted for wheelchair users. The shower cabin for people with disabilities is too small and not properly equipped.
The area with the main pool, children’s pool, and massage pool is well-lit and offers enough maneuvering space. The pools are equipped with stairs and handrails, and a portable pool lift is available upon request from lifeguards.
The saunas are not accessible, as they do not provide sufficient or appropriately arranged space for wheelchairs. Access to the hot and cold baths (within the sauna area) is only possible via stairs.
The meeting rooms are accessible, with enough maneuvering space and movable furniture. However, the entrance to the Špik Conference Hall includes stairs.
In the bar, some tables are suitable for wheelchair access. In the hotel restaurant, the buffet counters are too high, but all tables are accessible.
The facility is not equipped with hearing loops.
Adapted restrooms are available near the bar entrance and in the Wellness Špik reception area.
