Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

National Council of Disability Organizations of Slovenia – NSIOS (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values the privacy of all its users, including individuals with disabilities and their representatives. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of personal information from users of our mobile application, “Invalidska kartica ugodnosti” (“the App”), available on the Google Play Store.

The App is developed under the European Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 in Slovenia, specifically within Policy Objective 4: A more social and inclusive Europe for the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights. This initiative aligns with Priority 7: Long-term care and health and social inclusion, and Specific Objective ESO4.11, which focuses on strengthening equitable and timely access to quality, sustainable, and affordable services. This includes services that promote access to housing and person-centred care services, modernizing social protection systems with a particular focus on children and disadvantaged groups, improving accessibility, especially for people with disabilities, and enhancing the efficiency and resilience of health and long-term care services (ESF+).

We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Slovenian laws, and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

Location Data: We may collect location data from users to provide location-based services, such as displaying the nearest offers available in the App. This data is only collected when the user grants explicit permission.

Non-Personal Information: We may collect non-personal information, including:

Device Information: IP address, device type, operating system, and technical details.
App Usage Data: Information about how the App is used and user interactions.
Identifiers: Cookies, unique device identifiers, and similar technologies.

3. How We Use Information

Location Data: Location data is used to show relevant offers based on the user’s proximity to certain locations.

Non-Personal Information: We may use non-personal information to:

Improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
Conduct internal analytics to understand app usage patterns.
Provide personalized content and features.

Push Notifications: We may send push notifications to users to inform them about new offers or updates related to the App. Users can manage push notification preferences in their device settings.

4. Google Analytics

The App uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze how users interact with the App. The information generated by these cookies (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the App, compile reports on App activity, and provide other services related to App activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

5. User Consent

Before collecting any location data, we will obtain your consent through pop-up notices. By using the App and accepting the location tracking permission, you consent to the collection and use of this data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Users can withdraw their consent at any time by contacting us at info@wpm.si or adjusting their device settings to disable location services for the App.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not share personal information collected from users with third parties, except in the following cases:

Legal Obligations: To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Project Requirements: If requested by the subject that financed the project, in compliance with relevant legal and contractual obligations.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law in Slovenia and the European Union.

Users can request the deletion of their personal data by contacting us at info@wpm.si. Upon request, we will delete personal data, unless we are legally required to retain it.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures, in line with industry standards, to protect the information collected through the App from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. These measures include the security protocols provided by Google Play Store and secure server environments.

9. User Rights

Access and Correction: Users have the right to access and correct their personal information. These rights can be exercised by contacting us at info@wpm.si.

Data Portability and Deletion: Users have the right to request a copy of their personal data or request its deletion. Requests can be submitted via the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy.

10. Compliance with GDPR and Slovenian Laws

Our App complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), applicable privacy laws in Slovenia, and other relevant regulations. We ensure that our content and practices align with all relevant legal requirements.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy. Users will be notified of any significant changes through in-app notifications.
